Hiya,
Every time I post, I get this error:
General Error
Ran into problems sending Mail. Response: 554 : Relay access denied
DEBUG MODE
Line : 165
File : smtp.php
The post does appear in the Forum, but it's odd that the error appears (IE 7, WXP SP2).
Cheers,
Luis. |

Hiya,
Just posted again and it looks like the problem is gone. I was wondering if it was to do with the tick-box 'Notify me when a reply is posted' as I have never gotten an email to notify me of any post replies.
Cheers,
Luis. |

Luis,
The issue was found and resolved, so it wasn't due to your settings. Thanks for pointing it out. |

Cool, but I'm still not getting an email when there is a reply to the Forum post.

Hiya,
Thought I'd check my Forum Profile (to make sure all settings there were correct) but clicking on the 'Profile' link above asks for the 'Account creation' password: The one I use to login will not work. I was assuming that the creation of this 'own/login' password was sufficient to get in and check my Profile!
Cheers,
Luis. |

Luis,
Thanks for your post. That issue should be resolved now. New users should now only need to enter the Forums Creation password on new account. Profile changes do not need the creation password. |

Hi Luis.
Can you verify that you have the "Notify me when a reply is posted" option is set in the forum thread? Probably you have done this so if it is still not working for you can you provide any details of the web browser you are using (type, version)? The notification has been verified to be working so we have not been able to reproduce your issue.
Thanks,
CodeMorphis |

Hiya,
Yep. It's ticked (double checked...).
I don't understand hot the browser version would affect it as this is set on your server, but here goes:
IE 7 on WXP SP2.
Cheers,
Luis. |

Edit: 'I don't understand hot the browser' should be 'I don't understand how the browser'.
Cheers,

Luis,
Does this problem occur for you each time you reply to a post or only sporadically? |

It always happens.
Case in point - The latest reply you posted to this thread: I did not receive an email notification, even though I had the tick box ticked to indicate my preference for it.
It's not a 'major' problem, I do visit the Forum regularly, but it's nice to be reminded if I don't by a reply-post to my post.
Anyone else getting this problem?
Cheers,
Luis. |
