I too used Layout back in the mid 90's, and if you like Layout you'll love Synopsis.

Hello John Allen.
Thanks for your post and welcome.
Please note that Menu Items are available in Synopsis. They are not accessed through the component tray, however, but rather via the Property Page of the Windows Form. Just double click the background of a Windows Form to bring up the Property Page and scroll to the bottom and you will see the Menu Items section.
This is explained in a previous programming tip article:

Synopsis is a rapid application prototyping tool for Windows, although there are many users who build final applications with Synopsis.
Synopsis is a tool that allows you to quickly and easily combine disparate software components and control external programs. It basically acts like a kind of programming "glue" to allow different software and software components to "talk" to one another, thereby allowing the user to concentrate on the actual application design instead of the tedious details that are sure to continuously change.
Please feel free to ask any other questions you may have and to also tell us about your previous programming experiences with other products. |
